# How to Request a Change of Username
1) Send an email to **community-admins@tatoeba.org** with the following information:
- Your current username.
- Your new username.
- The reason why you want to change your username.
2) Update your profile description to add the following sentence *"I would like to change my username to [your-new-username]"*. This is just for us to make sure that it is not another person who is requesting to change your username. You can remove this sentence once we have updated your username.
In some situations we may refuse to change your username.

# How to Request a Change of Username
To change your username, please send a private message to [TatoebaAdmins](https://tatoeba.org/eng/private_messages/write/TatoebaAdmins) with the following information:
- Your new username.
- The reason why you want to change your username.
In some situations we may refuse to change your username.
In case you do not received any response regarding your request, you can try to contact the admins by email instead at **community-admins@tatoeba.org**.
As a last resort, you can contact the Tatoeba team at **team@tatoeba.org**.
