##Introduction

This wiki is the official wiki for the [Tatoeba project][1], it has been made for 3 main purposes

 1. Centralize the documentation around the projects (official rules,
how-to, FAQ, etc.), in a easy to
update, easy to translate, easy to
        find, website
 2. Centralize the explanation about the languages themselves, explanation on grammar points, common translation pitfalls etc.
 3. Have a place where to organize and follow long-term tasks on the corpus (for example being able to organize who are currently proof-reading this or that language, if someone has already started to "import" a book in the public domain)

##Important

For the moment only registered people can edit the wiki, and for technical reason, the accounts are not yet link with the main Tatoeba website.

Also for the moment it is not possible to create an account on the wiki directly, you may send a private message to sysko in tatoeba or sending him an email (**team@tatoeba.org**), and he will create an account for you. The reason is that at the very beginning it will be more important to organize the future structures and hierarchy we will adopt for the articles rather than adding a lot of content.

##Technical details

This wiki is powered by [tatowiki][2], which is an open source wiki engine written in c++ using .[cppcms-skeleton][3] and [cppcms][4]
